Abstract
The article presents a theoretical generalization and practical solution to the problem of forming ethnic tolerance of staff of educational organizations. Achieving this goal required specifying the essence and content of the concept of ethnic tolerance as a professionally important quality of staff of educational organizations. It is determined that ethnic tolerance is a complex formation of personality, which manifests itself in the form of tolerance for lifestyle, customs, traditions, morals, feelings, thoughts, ideas of other ethnic groups. Ethnic tolerance occupies a significant place in the professional activities of specialists engaged in the field of "man-man" and belongs to the category of leading professionally important qualities of research and teaching staff of higher education institutions. During the empirical research the insufficient level of formation of ethnic tolerance of scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions was established. Insufficient level of ethnic tolerance of the staff of educational organizations necessitated the definition of organizational and psychological conditions and the introduction of a special course of purposeful formation of this quality. Organizational and psychological conditions for the formation of ethnic tolerance of research and teaching staff of higher education institutions are determined. In order to ensure the formation of ethnic tolerance of the staff of educational organizations, a special course has been developed and tested aimed at the formation of ethnic tolerance of research and teaching staff of higher education institutions. It is established that the selection of content, forms and methods of its implementation contributes to the formation of the staff of educational organizations attitude to the use of ethnic tolerance in professional activities
