Abstract
With the growth of the Internet and technology, the use of e-learning has expanded significantly and electronic exams have become an alternative to traditional exams. The phenomenon of cheating was considered to reduce educational sobriety and violate electronic integrity. This research proposed a system for detecting cheating in the answer of students in online exams. The proposed system is based on similarity measurement. where the model uses similarity (cosine, Jaccard, and overlap) algorithms to find cheating in essay questions only. The results of this system showed that using the cosine similarity method is better than the rest of the other methods. that the proposed system provides a reliable test via the Internet and a fair system that maintains electronic safety.
