Degree of Satisfaction of English Language Department Students in Jouf University with the Quality of Distance Learning

Abstract
The study aims to identify the extent of students' satisfaction of the English Language Department with the quality of distant education in the specialization courses of the Faculty of Arts at Jouf University in terms of: teaching faculty members, applications of distant learning through the BLACKBOARD system, the teaching methods used and the university environment and find out the differences between them according to gender and academic level. The study population is represented by students of the English Language Department at the Faculty of Arts at Jouf University, the sample size reached (416) male and female students, of whom (122) were males and (294) were females. The descriptive approach is used, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The students of the English Language Department show a high degree of satisfaction with the quality of distant education in the specialization courses in teaching, the applications of distant education through the blackboard, and the teaching methods used, also showed that there are differences between male and female students of the English language according to the gender variable in favor of the female students, and the existence of differences in the level of teaching, educational applications, teaching methods, and the educational environment, according to the academic level in favor of the third level. The study set forth several recommendations, the most important of which are: Ensuring that universities introduce the e-learning system and its applications alongside traditional education. Develop study plans that contain teaching methods and means that are attractive and exciting for students to improve the educational process, in line with the requirements of the times. Supporting and encouraging male and female students who have negative attitudes about distant education.
