Abstract
The article substantiated the validity of the development and improvement of the quality of education to ensure the formation of human capital. Insufficient compliance of indicator indicators for the objective assessment of changes taking place in the field of school, vocational and higher education has been identified. At the same time, there were certain achievements and progressive shifts in the education system, which are aimed at better human development and the formation of human capital. The war unleashed by Russia brought significant destruction and losses in the education system. This hinders the implementation of sustainable development tasks to improve the quality of education and limits the possibilities of forming the human capital of Ukraine. An in-depth analysis of the problems of education caused by the war is needed and the search for new ways to solve them, taking into account the experience of countries that have passed through such a test.
