Abstract

Ibn Hazm Al Dhahiri grew up under the care of his father, Ahmed bin Saeed, who was a prominent writer, a good scholar, and a firm administrator. He was highly skilled in political circles. He gained the trust of rulers and rose in his positions until he became a minister to Al-Mansur bin Abi Amer and his son Al-Muzaffar. Thus, our poet spent a luxurious childhood. In it, he was given opportunities to learn at the hands of scholars and to meet with all kinds of writers and jurists, so he benefited from this in great knowledge and opened his talents and abilities Ibn Hazm lived through the strife that troubled Andalusia, and because his father was a minister to Mansour bin Abi Amer alHajib (the prime minister), who had interdicted the Caliph Hisham al-Muayyad and tyrannized the rule without him. Al-Mansur, so the Hazm family gained a large share of that until they were scattered in the country
