Abstract
In this work we propose a multiple linear regression model to describe the relationship between traffic volume in the Minneapolis-St Paul metropolitan area as a function of several variables, which include weather conditions and holiday occurrences. Additionally, we present an analysis for a queue model with a general arrival process, denoted by (G/M/1) : (∞/FIFO). Our results indicate that the uniform distribution is more suitable to model the process of vehicle arrivals.
