Abstract
The concept of interdisciplinarity applied in the School José Firmino da Veiga, in the city of Paulista/PE, includes a direct experience, from a project that had the challenge of introducing the agro-ecological backyard in the teachers' practices. The implementation of the agro-ecological backyard resulted in a change of attitudes and the training of students and teachers in the interdisciplinary field. The unfolding of this approach between teachers and students resulted in positive synergies, from the management planning of the school's agro-ecological backyard to the respective productive activities, the adoption of technologies surpasses the productive expectations along with the adoption of social technologies. To understand the interdisciplinarity experienced in this experience we conducted a qualitative research, which used a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with students and teachers for data collection.
