Abstract
Rapid developments in industrialization and informatics methods have provided tremendous advances in the development of next generation production technology. One of these advances is Industry 4.0, which was first introduced during the Hannover Fair in 2011 and symbolizes the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Industry 4.0 is a technology-oriented digital transformation that enables decision-making based on real-time data by combining existing production and design technologies with modern information and communication technologies to increase the competitiveness of traditional production. This digital transformation process has begun to transform today's production paradigm into smart production with the emergence of Industry 4.0 technologies such as the internet of things, cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence and digital twin. Thus, it provides many advantages to businesses such as detecting problems in processes, speeding up the design cycle of products, identifying the source of quality problems and preventing errors. In this study, it is aimed to examine the Industry 4.0 revolution, which should be at the center of their strategic agenda, not a "future trend" for businesses. In the study, firstly Industry 4.0 is explained, then Industry 4.0 technologies are mentioned, and finally, the results and evaluations related to Industry 4.0 are given.
