Abstract
Introduction: A womanssexualityis an essential component of herflourish. Knowledge about womanssexuality isnecessary for a fulfillingsexual life. In Morocco,knowledge about femalesexualityisoftenbased on cultural beliefs. The objective of ourstudyis to evaluate the knowledge of womenssexuality in a population of educatedwomen. Methods: Our studyconsisted of a survey of 168 educatedwomen. The respondentsanswered an anonymous self-questionnaire with items related to the anatomy of the female body, foreplay, the female attitude duringsexual intercourse, femaleorgasm and contraception. Results:The averagenumber of correct answerswas 86% (SD=0.17%).The active role of the woman in sexual intercourse wasendorsed by all participants (100% correct response).The mostfrequenterrorwas the requirement for simultaneousorgasm. Conclusion: Our study gave us an idea of the overallknowledgelevel of educatedwomen, whichwasgenerally good. The education of the womanwould have allowed an acquisition of sexualknowledge as well as a neutralization of the myths and beliefsinheritedfrom theculture.
