Abstract

Introduction. During the transition to a digital society, it is necessary to prepare a person for the rapid collection, recording, transformation, and storage of large volumes of information, and mastering modern means, methods, and technologies for working with information and communication technologies. Digital society is a kind of post-industrial society. Its specificity is the universal coverage of society's life by information and communication technologies. The development of information and communication technologies, increasing their accessibility for a wide range of users, caused the change of the former educational system «student – teacher» with a new system «teacher – computer – student». The modern «teacher – computer – student» system is the main one in the conditions of distance education. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the features of informational and methodological support for the formation of the digital culture of future educators of preschool education institutions using distance education in vocational pedagogical colleges. Methods. To achieve this goal, a set of interrelated methods of scientific research was used: analysis, synthesis, concretization, classification, comparison, and generalization of scientific sources on the research topic; studying of pedagogical experience, and survey of students used. Results. The article examines the features of increasing the effectiveness of the formation of students' digital culture of vocational pedagogical colleges using distance education. We mean digital culture: the ability to perceive the world as a system of direct and reverse information links, freely navigating in the digital society; high productivity of activities based on the system of abilities, skills, and abilities to use information and communication technologies developed on their basis; a developed level of digital style of thinking, which ensures the processes of perception, structuring and decoding of information of a professional nature to assimilate science-intensive technologies and introducing them into professional activity.Conclusion. The conducted research allows us to note that distance education carries an increasing burden on both the student and the teacher. For the student, the load increases due to the increase in the volume of independent work, and for the teacher ‒ due to the constant readiness to communicate, the need to develop new approaches and methods. According to the survey, the quality of the educational process in the online environment depends on many factors, including the level of training of teachers in the use of distance education technologies; teaching style; peculiarities of interaction with students; features of feedback.
