Abstract

The emergence of 5G communication systems has brought about the need for high-frequency power amplifiers that can operate in the millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequency band. However, designing and optimizing high-frequency power amplifiers for 5G communication systems presents significant challenges due to the complexity of the systems and the need for high efficiency and linearity. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis and optimization approach for high-frequency power amplifiers for 5G communication systems. The approach takes into account the nonlinear behavior of the transistor, the parasitic components of the circuit, and the impact of the input and output matching networks. The optimization approach based on a genetic algorithm has been shown to be effective in improving the power efficiency and linearity of the power amplifier. This work provides a useful framework for the design and optimization of high-frequency power amplifiers for 5G communication systems, and can be used as a starting point for further research in this area.
