CURRENT ISSUES OF MEDIA EDUCATION IMPLEMENTATION IN UKRAINE

The article highlights the relevance of the introduction of media education in the educational system of Ukraine taking into account the need to counteract destructive information and psychological components of the Russian aggression and the changes taking place in the Ukrainian and global media sphere. The challenges and problems inherent in the current stage of introducing the elements of media education, digital literacy, and critical thinking are analyzed.
