Abstract
This study aims to debunk several common myths about women and men in the workplace, as well as to investigate the causes of the gender wage gap and the extent to which discrimination against women exists. The research set out to determine whether or not the service sector economy benefited more from having a male or female workforce. It seems that regardless of a country's level of development, The wage disparity worsens as more women enter the industrial workforce. The gender pay gap grows with each additional kid, although this trend is mainly discernible in low-income nations. The findings suggest that discrimination is linked to inequalities in human capital and education, and that the gender wage gap shrinks as one moves down the corporate ladder. Men earn more than women do in the industrial sector because they tend to work in more physically demanding and hazardous occupations. In addition, businesses would rather have male managers and pay women three times as less if they accept management positions.
