Abstract

In the realm of cyber-physical systems, the development of digital twin technology has emerged as a game-changing method of connecting the real and virtual worlds. Digital twins are digital representations of real-world systems that can be used for real-time tracking, analysis, and management. Focusing on its applications, methodologies, algorithms, system components, and architectural considerations, this paper provides a comprehensive introduction of digital twin technology for cyber-physical systems. The advantages and disadvantages of digital twins are discussed, along with their function in product design, manufacturing, and service, in a literature review of pertinent research publications. Data collecting, modelling, analytics, visualization, control, integration, and security are all currently available methods. Algorithms are proposed for processing data, conducting predictive analytics, identifying anomalies, and optimizing performance. Sensors, data collection, storage, digital twin models, analytics, visualization, control, integration, and security are also part of the system. Insights on the potential of digital twin technology and suggestions for future study directions are provided in the final section of the report. The results are a helpful reference for anyone working to implement digital twin technology in cyber-physical systems for enhanced functionality, productivity, and choice
