Abstract

In this research, both edible and non-edible vegetable oils are presented for the purpose of making biodiesel with the help of potassium hydroxide (KOH) and methanol (ethanol). Biodiesel's ideal characteristics matched those specified by ASTM. The piece employs two distinct kinds of oil: first, discarded frying oils, and second, olive-pomace oils. Environmental damage may be caused by discarded oil residue. Because of this, getting well is imperative. Some of the physical and chemical characteristics of the oils and the resulting biodiesel are measured in this experiment. In the end, we found that biodiesel has diesel-like qualities, and that adding biodiesel increases the cetane number and a few other criteria, compared to the Algerian norm.
