Abstract
Due to the meteoric rise of social media and review sites, sentiment analysis and opinion mining have become increasingly popular in recent years. This paper discusses the methods, difficulties, and uses of opinion mining and sentiment analysis in social media and reviews. Aspect-based analysis, opinion mining, and methods based on dictionaries and machine learning are just some of the methodologies investigated in this study. It also covers data collecting and preparation methods, indicators for success, and potential developments in this area. This paper's findings are helpful for academics, professionals, and companies that want to tap into the potential of sentiment analysis and opinion mining
