Abstract
Every language has words used for various functions. These words are also divided into subgroups according to their functions. One of them is the conjunctions used to connect various equivalent units in the language. Conjunctions are words that have grammatical meaning used to connect various units in a language. Some of these conjunctions are composed of just one word in the forms of simple, derived and compound words in terms of structure in Turkish. Some of them are sentence-based words that are composed of one or more words. Some of them are word groups composed of a few words. Some of them are composed of repeated words, and some of them are composed of different words used together. The focus point of this study is the conjunctions in the last two groups, which are also called correlative conjunctions. In other words, the units composed of same or different words that become conjunctions when they are used together in the same structure were examined. These conjunctions are units that are not used side by side but have a function together. In this study, these units were investigated and tried to be explained by means of giving examples chosen from written texts or constructed sentences by us in Turkish. In addition to this, conjunctions that are considered as "correlative conjunction" in English are also included in order to make comparisons and examples related to them are also included. From this point of view, it has been revealed that there are also correlative conjunctions in Turkish and they should be included in the structural evaluation of correlative conjunctions. In addition, it has been pointed out that it is necessary to consider the words in terms of their functions in the sentence in order to evaluate them correctly in terms of their word classes, meanings and structures.
