Abstract
This review provides a concise overview of the past, present, and future applications of ferrocene and its derivatives in drug discovery. Ferrocene-based compounds have shown promise in various therapeutic areas, including cancer, infections, and inflammation. Despite challenges in solubility and bioavailability, recent advancements in synthesis and formulation have improved their drug-like properties.
