Abstract
The fading, which is caused due to multipath propagation in a communication channel, challenges the wireless communication engineer who tries to establish a reliable communication path between transmitter and receiver. The fading is especially very severe when there is no line-of-sight component, which is the most occurring case in urban and suburban cities. Generally, the multipath fading amplitude distribution is modeled with Rayleigh PDF. But when the fading is very severe, the Rayleigh model failed to characterize the exact channel characteristics. So, a powerful model, named Nakagami-m model, is used to represent the channel. Correlated Nakagami m-fading is commonly encountered in wireless communications. Efficient simulation models for correlated Nakagami-m fading channels are required for the development, performance evaluation and validation of diversity combining systems in general fading channels. In this paper, a more computationally efficient method is introduced which takes the advantage of product of two independent random processes, namely, a square root beta process and a complex Gaussian random process. A key parameter in the statistical mapping can be determined by using an iterative method. The validity of the new technique is examined through the generation
