Selfishness is insisting on your way or insisting on your rights. It is the tendency to prioritize one's own needs above the needs of others. It blocks important qualities such as love, mercy, patience, goodness, and gentleness. The personality trait of selfishness is seldomly preached or researched within the Christian community.
