Abstract
The concept of ?economic mechanism? of an industrial enterprise and its connection with basic concepts of economic theory is investigated. The etymology of the ?economic mechanism? concept is analyzed. The approach to formulation of economic mechanism model is determined to provide efficient operation of business entities.
