Abstract
The mechanism of the stratification of public preferences in the consumer market by price and product elasticity is offered. It allows to form social equilibrium pricing in accordance with sellers’ and buyers’ interests, thus providing a reasonably profitable business and, at the same time, stimulating the development of consumer market.
