Abstract

Introduction. The problem of the physical education of primary school students is extremely urgent in connection with the general deterioration of the population's health. Socio-economic, political, socio-cultural and worldview changes taking place in Ukraine, modern conditions of life place increased demands on the health of the population, in particular primary school students, making it necessary to develop the physical education of the individual. The social and cultural environment has great opportunities for the development of a physical culture of children and adolescents: school, family, cultural and leisure, physical education and health facilities. However, the unstable situation that has developed in the country has a boomerang effect on the state of social institutions, disrupting their interaction and effectiveness. The disunity of social institutions, the destruction of connections between them, their insufficient use, and the inaccessibility of classes in paid sports and physical education and health centres, sections, and clubs for the majority of children and adolescents do not allow us to fully reveal its possibilities. Purpose. The article aims to characterize the content, forms and methods of work on the physical education of primary school students in a socio-cultural environment Methods. Theoretical methods of analysis and generalization of scientific literature, systematization and generalization of the received information, and experimental methods were used. Results. In the course of research and experimental work, the task of applying the acquired skills and abilities in more complex, unusual conditions (obstacle course, competition environment, complex exercises, etc.) was solved in the process of involving students in physical and recreational, cultural and leisure activities (sports and recreational, competitive, game programs, folklore and ritual holidays, sports events, competitions, etc.), which is organized both in institutions of general secondary education and outside them. Movement games, which are included in each section of the physical education program, have been chosen so that they facilitate the assimilation of the necessary material and promote the development of motor skills. The technology based on the theory of the planned formation of mental actions is used, in which the conditions for mastering each new action are the allocation of a complete indicative basis and its systematic (step-by-step) practice. Originality. A search for the involvement of students in the performance of independent homework wascarried out. Differentiated content-based tasks that stimulate students, effective forms of verification have been developed, and conditions for control and self-monitoring of task performance have been created. Research and experimental work on the physical education of students are built according to the model of interaction of social and cultural institutes. Planning, organization and implementation of various forms of work of the school, cultural and leisure, physical education and health facilities (in particular summer health camps) and the family were carried out, attention was paid to their interaction with physical education groups. Conclusion. In the physical education of primary school students, it is necessary to develop and improve all areas, organizing the appropriate social and cultural environment and making maximum use of its opportunities. An important task is the organization of interaction, the relationship between school, family and cultural and leisure institutions in the development of physical education of primary school students. Effective organizing extracurricular work for the physical education of students are mass holidays, sports and physical education and health activities, tourist trips, walks, sports and movement games.
