Abstract

This qualitative descriptive case study intended to identify the reading styles and challenges of twenty first century learners in modular distance learning modality. It prompted researchers to conduct similar or related research aiming at elucidating learners reading styles and experiences while participating in modular distant learning in the self learning module. The participants viewpoints and the development of their opinions on the phenomenon of interest that was researched were gathered through semi structured interviews. Purposive sampling was used to choose participants, who were chosen using the snowball technique, a non probability method based on their knowledge of the study.
