Abstract
Because the Nile is one of the longest rivers in the world and its source comes from heaven, couplets and independent works have been written on the Nile by poets and writers. One of these works is Ali Efendi's "State of the River Nile". The work is located in Konya Koyunoğlu City Museum and Library with the registration number 13319 and between leaves 22a-37b. Translated from Arabic to Turkish, the work was written in three chapters. In the first chapter, the beginning of the Nile and the farthest point it can reach, its end and its incomprehensible and strange situations are mentioned. In the second part, the incomprehensible and strange states of the Nile River, which were mentioned in the first part, are explained, and in the third part, the reason for what was said about Egypt in the previous part is explained. In this study, Ali Efendi's work named "Ahvâli Nehri Nil" was translated into Latin letters, translated into contemporary Turkish for the reader to understand, and the work was introduced in terms of form and content.
