Abstract

This research deals with the statement of the principle of legitimacy and its impact on the stability of the political system in Jordan, where the state of instability of the political system has become one of the main components of the political environment in most countries of the Middle East, especially after the waves of Arab revolutions, which acted as an effective and revealing element of this situation, after the state of political instability emerged due to the turmoil accompanying the transitional stages in some of these countries in which the revolutions took place. The instability of the political system also branched out from the indecisiveness of the political struggle for power in some of the other coutries, which led to the escalation of multiple approaches to adapt to situations of political instability and coexistence with the lack of reassurance and political certainty as one of the most important data for the principle of legitimacy that leads to the emergence of the rule of law. The study uses the analytical approach to study the political factors that increased the principle of legality and the rule of law in Jordan and how to apply it by studying the most important constitutional texts that the study dealt with. The study also reached a number of results, the most important of which is the actual need to apply the principle of legitimacy as the legal basis for everyone's participation and to promote the principle of political participation.
