PROBLEMATIC ISSUES ARISING FROM LOCAL AUTHORITIES DURING THE ARRANGEMENT OF FIRE BREAKS ALONG THE BORDERS OF SETTLEMENTS

In this article the authors consider the normative legal acts regulating the order of creation and maintenance of fire breaks along the borders of settlements in order to ensure non-proliferation of forest (natural) fires on the territory of settlements. There are revealed the problems associated with assignment of person responsible for the implementation of the above measures in cases where the boundaries of settlements may belong to different types of territories with different usage areas. Proposals for solving the identified problems are briefly outlined.
