RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING AND SOCIAL COMPETENCE AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract
Psychological well-being is a vital aim for our physical, mental, and effective functioning. It can be challenging to maintain this sense of well-being as a student, especially one pursuing higher education. It is critical to investigate the determinants of psychological well-being from the perspective of university students. The current study investigated the relationship between university students' psychological well-being, and social competence. The findings revealed a statistically significant relationship between university students' psychological well-being, and social competence. Furthermore, it was observed that social competence have an important role in predicting the psychological well-being of university students. The results show that in the prediction of psychological well-being, the major contribution comes from the variables of social competence and its sub categories team cohesion.
