Abstract

This article tries to determine the general position of this country in the north-south border by examining the economic, social and cultural conditions and characteristics of Iran. For this purpose, a variety of development criteria have been used to describe the development status of the block of Islamic countries, and certain thresholds have been taken into account to draw the demarcation of the north and the south, and these criteria allow regular and logical comparisons. has created The upcoming article is based on the nature and descriptive-analytical method in search of an answer to the main question, what is the position of Iran according to the main variables and indicators of development, and what is the position of this country in relation to the demarcation of north and south? In response to this question, the proposed hypothesis is that the country of Iran can be adapted to the (lower south) countries based on the variables and major development indicators. In the end, the findings indicate that the reasons for Iran's backwardness in the world arena and the demarcation of this country in the category (upper south) are not in the field of lack of resources and divine blessings, but in the lack of proper understanding of the components of development and progress. And in short, it should be searched in macro-management and planning topics. Therefore, taking a step in the path of development and moving towards northernization requires the implementation of good governance by the statesmen and natives and the institutionalization of the culture of development and progress among the general citizens.
