Abstract
The rapid advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) has necessitated a comprehensive framework for categorizing and understanding their diverse characteristics. In response, this paper introduces the "Large Language Model Classification Framework" (LLMCF), a systematic taxonomy designed to organize the various aspects and features of LLMs. This framework encompasses several dimensions, including model types, scale and size, training data and pretraining strategies, fine-tuning approaches, use cases, ethical considerations, research advancements, and more. The LLMCF provides a structured foundation for researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts to navigate the dynamic landscape of LLMs, fostering a deeper understanding of their capabilities and implications. As the field continues to evolve, the LLMCF serves as a valuable tool for contextualizing and analyzing the multifaceted nature of LLMs in diverse applications
