PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF DEFINING LIFE TASKS IN WARTIME

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the life tasks that an individual sets for himself in crisis situations related to the war; identification of factors that help to perform these tasks. Research methods. Theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem, empirical research methods. Results. It was established that the most common life tasks, which were determined by the researched turned out to be: self-education, education, development, selfdevelopment, self-improvement; tasks that involved solving the problem of material support and maintaining mental health, as well as preservation family relationships and mutual support in the family turned out to be significant. It was also revealed that the researched are aware of existing problems and obstacles preventing the solution of certain life tasks. Significant part of the respondents identified the war that lasts on the territory of our state and the associated with the war situation of uncertainty, feeling physical danger and threat to life, presence of constant stress, syndrome of delayed life, evacuation abroad, uncertainty in future and instability as the main factor. It was established that as factors that help in solving the specified tasks which respondents singled out are the following: personal traits and qualities, the main of which are perseverance, stress resistance, responsibility, indomitability and selfconfidence; support of surrounding; a sense of security and finding a resource in various ways of activity. Conclusions. In the course of the study, the priority tasks that the individual sets for himself in the conditions of war were identified. In particular, a significant part of the subjects identified tasks related to self-education, development, self-improvement and self-realization. No less important were the tasks that involved solving the problem of material support and maintaining mental health. The obtained results suggest that these tasks help to maintain the internal integrity of the in dividual, psychological stability, a sense of control in certain life situations and emotional stability in the conditions of war. It was found that among the factors that help in solving these life tasks, the subjects identified personal traits and qualities. Thus, a significant part of respondents in difficult life circumstances try to rely on their own personality
