Extent of adoption of recommended production technology of pigeon pea by farmers

Abstract
This study was undertaken on 100 farmers of pigeonpea growers from three villages of Karanda block of district Ghazipur were selected randomly. The maximum percentage of the farmers were found having medium level of knowledge, which the respondents were distributed accordingly to the knowledge of categories viz. low medium and high. Out of 10 agricultural practices of pgeon pea production, knowledge about various agricultural practices of pigeon pea. The adoption of the improved variety and time of sowing has been first 70% followed by weed management 40%. The poor extent of knowledge was reported for the practice viz. field selection 10% and method of sowing 10%.
