The influence of the father's personality on the choice of a partner

The family is the primary agent of the child's socialization. It plays a significant role in the formation of a child's personality, in his worldview, and life position. The personalities of parents influence the choice of a partner, the model of behavior in a relationship, self-esteem, perception of other people, and the formation of certain personality traits. Currently, the institution of the family has undergone huge changes. Previously, the father always acted as a breadwinner, breadwinner and head of the family. At the moment, these roles have shifted, due to the establishment of equality between men and women, it has become possible for women to take on the role of the head of the family. As a result, crises in family relations are becoming more frequent, and the interaction of parents with children is changing. The problem of the image model of a future life partner turned out to be the least studied due to the lack of research that concerns the influence of the role of the father's personality on the choice of a daughter's partner. Insufficient knowledge of the role of the father's personality in the choice of the daughter's spouse is proof of the relevance of this study. The purpose of the work is to study the influence of the father's personality on the choice of a future partner. The object of the study is the choice of a girl's partner. The subject of the study is the influence of the father's personality on the choice of a girl's partner. During the work, the following tasks were set: to analyze theoretical and experimental works on the research topic; to identify the influence of the father's personality on the image of the future partner; to conduct an empirical study of the influence of the father's personality on the choice of a girl's partner; to process and analyze the empirical results of the study. The following methods were used for empirical research: the test "Diagnostics of interpersonal relations" by T. Leary; the test "Unfinished sentences" by V.B. Shapar. Sample of the study: the study was conducted among female students of PSU, 2-5 courses, aged 18 to 23 years. 10 girls from full families who are in a relationship with a young man or are married were selected as subjects. A total of 10 people were interviewed.
