Abstract

This article draws attention to the need to prioritize the national budgets towards health planning and the importance of integrating innovative digital health solutions into thehealthcare systems especially in developing countries. It throws light on the increasing Infant Mortality Rates, especially newborn related deaths. Two countries Nigeria and India were chosen as the representative countries from among the developing countries to describe the Infant mortality rates and the need for digitalization. Examples of digital solutions and their impacts in creating awareness and reducing the infant mortality rates are quoted in this article. Digitalization is considered as easy to use, accessible way to improve health through proper implementation and political commitment of the nations.
