Abstract
The paper analyzes the state of populations of acclimatized species in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Modern ecological views on introinduction (acclimatization) have reason to believe that the introduction of new species of fauna on the territory of other habitats violates the ecological balance and structure of natural communities, leads to temporary or permanent displacement of local species and forms, and at the forefront of such activities as acclimatization should be primarily the task of preserving the natural balance of the animal world, and not the economic considerations for which, in fact, these works were carried out during the time period under study.
