Abstract
Power system deregulation require a wheeling charge that is economically efficient to meet the financial requirements of the transmission system and maintain security and reliability of the system. This paper investigates the deregulated Nigerian power system with the existing wheeling charges methods to determine their suitability and ability to recover both fixed cost and the operating cost.
