A financial institution is an establishment that conducts financial transactions such as investments, loans, and deposits. Almost everyone deals with financial institutions regularly. Everything from depositing money to take out loans and exchanging currencies must be done through financial institutions. Banks are a fundamental element of the financial system, and are also play a major role in financing the economic needs of the nation. It plays a major role in mobilizing the nation's savings and channelizing them into high investment priorities and better utilization of available resources. Thus, the development of a country is associated with the development of banking. The banking system in India should not only be hassle free but it should be able to meet new challenges posed by technology and any other external and internal factors. Major changes took place in the functioning of Banks in India only after liberalization, globalization and privatization. All these translates into a strong growth for banking sector too, as rapidly growing business turn to banks for their credit needs, thus helping them grow very fast. This study tries to analyze the cash flow statement of SBI for the period 2018 2023.In the world of finance and business management, the Cash Flow Statement stands as a beacon of financial health and stability. This document serves as a fundamental gauge of a companys ability to generate cash and meet its financial obligations. This statement is one of the three key reports with the income statement and balance sheet that help in determining a company's performance. This project will explore various aspects, including operating, investing, and financing activities, as well as the different formats commonly used for presenting cash flow information.
