Steroids like corticosteroids both systemically and topically are the mainstay of the treatment. However efficacy of steroids is beyond comparison, but they equally hold the foremost position in producing devastating side effects. Moreover, withdrawal or reduction of steroids carries huge risk in the deterioration of psoriasis.
