Abstract
There is considered the possibility of solving the problem of choosing the optimal width of curved emergency corridors, both sides of which are parts of an ellipse to further minimize the mixing of human flows (and, accordingly, to prevent congestion in people's movement) during evacuation in case of fire or other emergencies. The issue of changing the corridor width along its length is considered in two ways: one-dimensional unconditional optimization and the classical Kuhn-Tucker theorem. A sequence of steps is proposed to implement the task of finding the optimal corridor width.
