Abstract

The article discusses the features of using the case-stydy method in the system of comprehensive professional training, competence and professional growth potential of a customs specialist. In modern conditions, the economic security of the country, along with other factors, depends on the personnel potential of customs authorities. Professionalism and responsible performance of their duties by customs officers have a significant impact on the process of execution of the state budget. The professional activities of customs officers are based on their deep economic knowledge, accurate interpretation of customs legislation, practical skills in carrying out customs procedures, the ability to act immediately in emergency situations, and the psychological ability to recognize the behavior of people who violate the law. In this regard, the role of practice-oriented training is increasing, the main goal of which is the formation of skills, abilities and algorithms of action that meet the requirements and standards of the profession. An analysis of the competencies of the customs officer profession was carried out, the main problematic issues were identified, outlined, and the features and methodological basis for introducing the case-stydy method into the professional training system for customs officers were revealed.
