Abstract
The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the psychological work climate among the nursing staff at the National Institute of Oncology Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah in Rabat, as well as explore the relationship between the components of the psychological work climate and burnout. Additionally, we aim to focus on identifying the role of nurses perception of the organizational work climate in explaining, interpreting, and predicting their burnout levels. This research involved a sample of 70 nursing staff members, consisting of 47% male respondents (33 nurses) and 53% female respondents (37 nurses). The average age of this sample is 38.78 years (SD = 9.63). Meanwhile, the average professional experience is 13.3 years (SD = 12.5). The findings of this study reveal that 63.72% of the nursing staff at the National Institute of Oncology perceive the work climate negatively, while 70% of the total sample exhibits a high level of burnout. This study also revealed that intervening to positively influence the perception of the psychological work climate by 63.72% would reduce the occurrence and persistence of burnout syndrome among the nursing staff from 70% to 39.76%.
