Abstract
Background: Mucormycosis is a severe opportunistic fungal infection. The aim was to study Rhino-Orbito-Cerebral Magnetic Resonance Imaging findings of post Covid patients with proven Mucormycosis in a tertiary care centre. Material and Methods: Post Covid patients with proven Mucormycosis who underwent MRI within a duration of 1 year were included in the study. It was a Hospital record based retrospective study carried out in the department of Radio-diagnosis. Distribution of patients was done on the basis of Rhino-Orbito-Cerebral involvement, Age, Gender and Diabetes Mellitus status. Results: It was found that males were more commonly affected with mean age group between 61-70 years and most of the patients had bilateral involvement. Conclusion: With the advantage of excellent inherent contrast delineation ability of MRI, radiologists should evaluate the extension and involvement of invasive fungal sinusitis which can lead to early diagnosis and timely management.
