Abstract

In education, prioritizing efficiency and safety ensures comprehensive protection. Given instances of school bullying and incidents of gender-related violence, it's crucial to enhance the existing video surveillance. The study aims to design a framework and determine to what extent stakeholders' adaptability to gender responsive smart campus surveillance at Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manaoag. The researchers employed the design thinking method and stakeholder interviews to identify the need for an efficient security surveillance framework. The researchers used a mixed-methods approach, employing surveys and in-depth interviews for data collection. The instrument was administered to 276 respondents, including administrators, faculty, junior and senior high school students, and parents, through Google Forms. The researchers employed descriptive analysis to assess stakeholders' adaptability to the framework. The study found that respondents generally agreed with mean scores of 3.79 for knowledge and awareness and 3.78 for preferences, privacy, and adaptability on the Likert scale. The study highlights a 23% preference for reliability and security, with a 36% acceptance rate for facial recognition as the primary feature. In conclusion, the proposed framework addresses bullying and gender-related violence through effective actions and decisions. Also, stakeholders are likely to adopt the framework with a positive attitude toward system implementation.
