ISSUES OF HR ACTIVITY IN ORGANIZING EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT SELECTION AS AN ENTREPRENEURIAL PROCESS

Abstract
Introduction. This article explores the business process of management selection (MS) for executive staffing, highlighting its uniqueness in response to the dynamic challenges of Ukraine's labor market, including internal and external migrations, and economic changes that impact business scales. Purpose. The aim of this research is to develop a comprehensive methodology for optimizing management selection processes that consider the current economic activities and the state of Ukraine's labor market. It seeks to improve the quality and effectiveness of managerial recruitment by integrating specific decision-making tools suitable for each phase of the selection process, with a focus on adapting to company size. Materials and methods. The study draws upon the works of contemporary scholars and experts in the field of recruitment, the specifics of its implementation in Ukraine, and the author's own practical and academic experience in this area. The research is based on the general scientific principles of systematization, complexity, completeness, and employs methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, and specification. Results. The paper develops a methodology for optimizing the management selection processes. It identifies the key phases of management selection as a business process and proposes a set of qualitative and quantitative methods for effective decision-making at each stage. Special attention was given to developing selection criteria that align with corporate culture, the implementation of business ethics, consideration of leadership qualities and team dynamics, and the integration of these criteria into standardized selection processes to ensure objectivity and efficiency in recruiting management selection in Ukraine. Furthermore, it was determined that the nature and activities of management personnel are linked to company size, hence, the study outlines the peculiarities of the management selection process in Ukraine for businesses of various sizes. Discussion. Future research might focus on developing specific procedures and regulations for implementing the proposed approach in business practices, considering the particularities of their operations, sizes, and structures.
