Abstract
On the basis of statistical data, results of research in the field of psychology of mountaineering and results of consideration of expert assessments of specific incidents, incidents in mountainous terrain, their causes, factors of occurrence and consequences are analyzed. The necessity of weather forecasting, training, strict adherence to safety rules and development of safety infrastructure that takes into account natural and human factors is emphasized. In the event of an incident, the rapid delivery of medicines and essentials to the scene is of utmost importance. Currently, the technical realization of cargo delivery to remote and inaccessible areas is theoretically possible through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
