Abstract

Intellectual property (IP) covers the rights protecting the results of creative activity, including copyrights, patents, trademarks and trade secrets. In the modern world, the importance of IP cannot be overestimated, as it is the basis for innovative development and economic growth. IP protection stimulates creativity and investment, providing authors and inventors with the opportunity to earn income from their work. In the context of globalization and technological progress, effective management of IP rights is becoming an important factor of competitiveness. However, with the increasing threats of infringement of rights, such as piracy and counterfeiting, the need to protect IP becomes especially urgent. The article examines the main categories and categories, their significance, the problems and challenges faced by IP protection in the digital age, as well as the need for international cooperation and public education about the importance of intellectual property protection.
