Social networks: double-edge swords?

This paper aimed to address the issue of social networks and its use in our country and worldwide. Facebook was chosen as a case to study, because from 1O people, eight use it in our environment. It began with an explanation of the origin of social net­works and then proceeded to describe the Facebook environment, which their menus work are and what options gives to the user. Besides, interesting statistics were shown about its use. Finally, the actual data that reflect the missuse of this tool was presented.
