Abstract
E-commerce constantly evolves, and as client behavior shifts due to technological improvements, business people must stay current on the latest trends. Consumer behavior has a significant impact on e-commerce. The revolution in information technology and the globalization of business has far-reaching consequences. This study looks into e-commerce platforms' role in consumer purchase behavior, specifically how the shift from traditional to digital shopping environments affects consumer habits and decision-making processes. As e-commerce expands, understanding its impact on consumer behavior becomes increasingly crucial for businesses and regulators. E-commerce is more than just conducting business online; in the age of internet technology, e-commerce has completely revolutionized our way of life. The study identifies several significant areas of impact. First, the ease provided by e-commerce platforms significantly impacts purchase behaviors. Online shopping allows consumers to browse and purchase products from anywhere, at any time, considerably reducing the time and effort required in the purchasing process. This convenience frequently results in a higher purchase frequency and a trend towards more spontaneous purchasing decisions. Second, the many products offered on e-commerce platforms influence buyer choices. Unlike conventional businesses, internet platforms can provide diverse products, including niche and international items. This diversity allows consumers to examine a broader range of options, affecting their purchasing decisions and potentially increasing their overall spending. Customization is another important component. E-commerce platforms use technology and algorithms to adapt product recommendations and marketing messages to specific consumer preferences. Overall, e-commerce platforms have changed customer purchasing habits by offering better convenience, a broader selection of products, personalized experiences, and new avenues for influence via reviews and social media. These developments have resulted in more frequent and diverse purchasing behaviors, demonstrating the importance of digital shopping environments in shaping modern consumer habits.
