Abstract
The article examines correspondence between Peter Bartenev and Peter Shchukin in the context of “Russkiy arkhiv” journal editorial policy during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The study of unpublished letters from Bartenev to Shchukin, which are kept in Department of Written Sources of the State Historical Museum, adds a new dimension to our understanding of their long-term collaboration.
