The tourism sector is steadily expanding and is viewed as a promising domain for entrepreneurial endeavours. Due to its swift and persistent expansion, tourism is recognized as a potent avenue for attaining development. Women entrepreneurs, engaging in tourism as a developmental approach, can make positive contributions to the local or national economy. In fact, the increasing significance of women in the entrepreneurial landscape has emerged as a noteworthy phenomenon in the past few decades in the tourism sector. This paper delves into the crucial involvement of women in entrepreneurship within the vibrant domain of tourism in India. It attempts to highlight the contributions made by women entrepreneurs in recent years in reshaping and making their mark in Indian tourism.
